Does anyone know if it was the same one that made the 12AX7’s With the Chinese dual triodes out of production this can be a problem with foreign tube prices.

I think Yugoslavia is getting it’s just rewards for shipping those Yugo’s to us years ago.

Have no worries, Magic Parts will be producing tubes in there China factory in a couple of weeks. I haven’t heard any reliable information that this is the case. There’s a lot of more pertinent targets to hit. Actually, if there is a political agreement re the Kosovo situation, instead of a standoff that results in yet another Serbian embargo, chances are the Nis factory will make even more tubes than before, ’cause they’ll be in desparate need of foriegn exchange. Sovtek makes several types of 12AX7’s, including a new long-plate type that should be a good sub in case the Ei version does become unavailable. Tesla/JJ and the Chinese are making 12AX7’s, and there’s a good supply of American ones still available, so, no, there’s no 12AX7 crisis looming. BTW, just to head off at the pass another 50 questions about this, the Tesla/JJ factory is in SLOVAKIA, not SERBIA.They’re not affected by events in Kosovo.
