This country is fucked
Question:
All I ask is that you please remember where our country was now and where it is in three years. Nevermind where we were 3.5 years ago and where we are now. I don’t care about "If you are better off now than you were 4 years ago". That is a much too selfish and simplistic view of the condition of our country. This country is fucked, and it is going to get exactly what it deserves. Congratulations.
Response:
It’s momentum baby, burn baby burn. The Executrons at the top of Corporate USA saw this coming and started raping/pillaging $$$$ for their own YEARS ago. It’s a free for all. The dumb will keep pledging allegiance. The smart already have it locked away in offshore accounts from the Cayman Islands to Switzerland. D.C. ? "USA" ? It’s Rome II, London II. I’ve been typing it for years now. The name of the game is "fuck everyone– it’s all about ME and MINE". Welcome to 21st Century "America". Watch China, the next rising star. We’re yesterday and have been since about the mid 1980’s. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > All I ask is that you please remember where our country was now and where it is > in three years.

I don’t think so… Perhaps we should call you whinestein. Don’t you think the taliban had a hard on for America? Gosh, no bombs, etc going off before the election was there? Probably cause all those islamic assholes are dieing for their cause in Iraq. Just the way Patton said it too, you win by letting them die for their cause. Well, I’m positive either way. If Kerry wins, I won’t have to look at the idiot Bush anymore on TV. If Bush wins, then he’ll get to preside over the mess he created and he’ll also get to take credit for it. If the Christians don’t realize that they’ve been duped after another 4 years, then I’ll agree, we’re fucked.

No, the country is fine. YOU’RE fucked – in the head. BTW, Amendment 36 went down in flames – big time. And you were *so* sure you’d win… How could you be so completely, utterly wrong? You’re a whackjob, is how. And now you have four years to reflect on what an asshole you’ve been. I don’t think it’ll do you much good, though – you’ll still be stupid, even if you manage to figure out how wrong you were. See ya in 2008, loser. Shame, because a lot of Americans are probably going to pay a big price for being lulled into the false sense of security that thinking you’re the biggest bad-assed bully on the block might provide.

Just remember that 911 happened on Bush’s watch. It shows that it doesn’t matter who’s president. Terrorists will attack no matter who gets elected. Tommy

A country where it’s concidered difficult to know who’s allowed to vote, and who’s not is not fine. A country where it takes up to 11 days to count votes, isn’t fine. Don’t you have computers over there? Tommy
Response:
This country was fucked years ago. Glad you’re finally awakened. This country can survive war and terrorism, this country can survive bad bad politics. What it can’t survive is bankruptcy which is where we’re headed. Obvoiusly the majority doesn’t care about this. Currently 20% of our debt is owned by the Saudis. The longer we are involved in Iraq, the more of our debt the Saudis own. A win win situation for them…. Tubeguru Optomist

Well put by both. <clap, clap…> In broad historical terms, the US is acting like a fucked up teenager on the world stage. Hopefully in the next few hundred years, it will stop behaving like the rich, spoiled bully on the block and learn how to play nice with the other kids. Yup. I am loving the low US dollar, means my imported gear from the US is real cheap now! Be prepared for more US taxpayer money to go down the gurler as GWB mortgages even more of your futures! Too bad about your healthcare and law enforcement.

Tommy, do you have your high school diploma yet? Does Norway have a GED -is THAT why you know so little? By precisely WHOM is it considered ‘difficult to know who is allowed to vote"? The rules are VERY clear. Citizen, 18 or over, no felonies. If you pay any attention at all to your civiv duties, you KNOW the rest. We have a very large number of very lazy and irresponsible people in this country, and personally, I blame Norway for it. The important thing about the time it takes to count the votes is that WE COUNT ALL OF THEM! No one of any political stripe is willing to revisit the 2000 election. The franchise is considered precious by most of us, and we take it very seriously. As we switch over from paper/pencil and mechanical counts to digital counts, there is bound to be some dislocation -some mistakes will be made. But 120 million + people voted yesterday, and they ALL got counted. The greatest difficulty is with the various experimental forms that are being tried, from ‘early’ voting, to absentee balloting with extremely liberal rules of use. Getting those counted IS tough. Finally, the stories you hear about folks being denied their right to vote, or being intimidated at the polls, always come up. I suspect there are always a few cases where it is true. But both major (and all the minor) parties put unprecedented emphasis on registering new voters, and enthusiastic party workers made lots of mistakes. Please understand this -the most democratic and powerful nation in human history has voted, again. There won’t be rioting in the streets, there won’t be partisans headed for the hills. There will be lots of whining and bitching (even from the winners), but that’s politics. Not one damn thing wrong with it. Chuck (Kerry voter) www.monkeychild.com

Tonny, >A country where it’s concidered difficult to know who’s allowed to vote, and >who’s not is not fine.
You don’ know? It is pretty easy really. Go register where you live. >A country where it takes up to 11 days to count votes, isn’t fine.
Son, those aren’t the standard votes for registered voters you know. Those are (forget name, but not contingency) votes for people for some reason that for some reason are registered and didn’t show up on the precinct rosters, therefore, they vote differently. NOTE: Each person on that ? vote, first has to be certified that they are registered and can vote. That is right, every ONE is hand checked by a team consisting of a DEM and a REP. Truely Bi-partisan. 70 – 90 percent of these votes get tossed because they don’t come from legally registered voters. >Tommy

I don’t think we are lulled into anything. We are fighting to keep our homeland safe. The only thing the arab mind understands is being the biggest bad-assed bully on the block. Ya know what? We took him out, his name was Saadam. Look who fell into line. Gadafi. Others will follow. BUT You know what the great thing is? In the near future, Iraq, will have elections and those people will for the first time in their lives be on their way to "self-determine" their land. Okay, now you can continue to whine away.

their land.> Notice how the leftist whiners and their lackeys in the press TOTALLY IGNORED the recent Afghan elections. For the first time in their history they were able to vote. 10 million Afghans risked being killed just to vote, and vote they did. It was a great day for them, and a great day for America and the world, but did Kerry or any of the other leftist dimbulbs even mention it? Not a WORD!!! They’re the biggest hypocrites that ever came down the pike. Hey, where are the "human shields" now? Maybe, maybe not… but it’s VERY important what the President DOES about it before and/or after an attack. Clinton putzed around. Bush didn’t. Big difference. gtski – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Tommy

Somebody stick a turd in this guys mouth, back in the 80’s Saddam was Reagan/Bush’s bad boy to try and topple Iran, didn’t happen, we gave stinger missiles to Osama to fight against Russia in Afghanistan, WE TRAINED HIM TO USE THOSE WEAPONS. Welcome to Vietnam II, Muslims in the middle east do business with us, but will always stick together, why cause we left Saddam to kill his own people in the 80’s. It’s apparent you don’t know anything about Muslim society, The women in Afghanistan still wear a burka covering their heads, you don’t see women on TV out in the streets, and the Men still beat them. And Dubya calls that freedom…..and Democracy.
