Hello        My name is Blair McIntire.  I’m the guy that sold 19 Trace Inverters on the web in three days. I’m a retired mechanical engineer. Almost every buyer wanted to know about diesel gensets and where to get them.  Sparked my interest. Seems everyone is worried about power supplies from y2k problems.        I’ll make this short.  I got engineer friends with about 156 years of experience in India between them.  I called and they set me up with a manufacturer in India.  I can bring in a container of 10kw diesel gensets, 110/220 single phase,  water cooled, electric start, instrumented, skid mounted ready to install. These units are rugged, tough easily repaired.  They are exact replicas of the Lister diesel sold world wide.  Parts are interchangeable and readily available. Unit cost would $2000.00 FOB Oakland, CA.   Container holds 24 units. I’m trying to get 23 other people to go in with me.  All monies will be held in a escrow account at my bank in Grants Pass. Those are gasoline powered, he’s selling (the promise of a) diesel. Big, big difference. I think the recent long thread I saw on that topic qwas in misc.rural   Do a dejanews search on "china Diesel", it was noted that these are the cheapest acquisition-cost, but not lifetime operating cost. Big, big difference in robustness and life-span. —
