Black spot on tubes
Question:
I looked at my tubes for my 5150 and i noticed that there are burn spots at the tops of all the tubes. Is this normal or ok? Also the tubes say made in china and they don’t have a name on them. Which tubes are the best for heavy metal type of sounds? And what tubes should i get for the pre-amp? Thanks Aaron Miller

You are seeing the gas-munching "getters" which is perfectly normal.
