Perhaps they were just in too much of a rush this time, or maybe they thought that Team Guido had already been eliminated (I’m sure that was the case in their minds – they were really only thinking about the lawyers). > Damn good show. Damn good.
Yup, this was the only one of the reality shows I actually watched more than once. The worst, to me, was "Lost", in which a bunch of spoiled Americans wandered around desperately poor parts of north Asia begging huge amounts of money off confused but amiable locals. Remarkably tacky. miguel — Hit The Road! Photos and tales from around the world: http://travel.u.nu

Maybe because you can’t go to LGA from the west coast non-stop? They could have gone to EWR on a CO red-eye, though and gotten in about 5

Yes, but she may not have taken the time to count them.

I’m thinking maybe the producers had something to do with this. I don’t understand how you could not notice two other envelopes in the box when you take yours out versus only one other one. They’ve noticed every other time during the race. Damn good show. Damn good. Marcus

I got the impression they wanted to take a "different" route because of the cameras. The whole time leading up to that cab ride they were talking about how well they knew NYC and all that, so if they just got in the cab and let the driver go whatever way he wants, they would look pretty silly. Of course by choosing a ‘weird’ route they really fouled things up. Serves them right for talking so much trash. Only disappointing thing for me about the last show was they didn’t make the Guidos jump in the cold water. Marcus

That they had little control over… but to not go via the Holland at 6′ish (am) was a fatal and rookie mistake for city natives. jay Thu, Dec 13, 2001 – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> >If they had gotten on the first taxi, they would have won the damn > >thing. Are there red eyes into LGA? I don’t think so, you can’t fly there from far enough away to merit it. There are no flights to LGA from the west coast, I think. JFK is another matter, and showing up half an hour later into JFK would probably have gotten you there sooner if it was available. The old schedules have changed so no way to research it now. But they had great traffic at 6am so who knows? Could they afford helicopter service from EWR to LGA or elsewhere in Queens, that is a better question. Or speedboat to a cab? Had they both gotten on the same train, I expect the fit lawyers would have won the dramatic footrace. — Would you expect a product called "Windows" to give you privacy and security? http://www.templetons.com/brad/

No kidding. They added 10 miles to their trip for no conceivable reason. I was pretty surprised by that – as well as by how smug they were about it. Maybe they thought it was 6pm. miguel — Hit The Road! Photos and tales from around the world: http://travel.u.nu
