Well, in the past we have accumulated WorldPerks miles by staying at    certain hotels, or renting cars from certain companies.   I believe that    there are even some restraunts that will give NW WorldPerks miles for    purchases there.  As well, there is a credit card link to one of the    banks.  It should all be in one of the milage statements that they mail    out to you. — Ken Shupenia                                | Phone/Fax:(403)886-2060                                                     | at Citadel login prompt

Find out if they have a visa credit card. Then make all your purchases on it. My brother buys everything, groceries included, and then sends in the money that he would have used as payment on the card and he gets upto 15,000 miles a month if he buys his business stuff with it too.

Applying for a NW Visa card will get you somewhere between 1000 and 5000 miles depending on the current promotion.  Call 800-327-2881 and they can tell you how to apply.  I think the basic card is $55 a year.  Also, applying for a Diners Club card may get you 10,000 miles.  Selecting MCI as your primary LD carrier. The problem with most of the car rentals is that they require an airline flight in conjunction.  I think now though, that any stay at a Radisson or Marriott Hotel gets you miles whether it is connected with a flight or not.  Check before you stay.  Also, car rental and hotel stays can take a while to get posted. Also, there is a flowers by mail promotion and an OAG subscription promotion that came out in the last packet.  Or check with NW to see if they have any very short, cheap weekend trips you can take.  I don’t know where you are located, but Minneapolis-St. Paul to Chicago or Rochester or Fargo might work. Good luck. Tom Tom Levitan

Send flowers to a friend.  Rent a car from National.

Be sure to find out which car rental agency partners with your favorite airline, or your miles may go to Kiwi airlines (just a joke – please no flames). Also, check to ensure WEEKEND RATES will accure mileage.  Some recent hotel programs now require BUSINESS rates, and do not accurue miles for discounted rates, although I can’t say I’ve seen this with car rental companies. Hope this info helps. Golf
